![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to offer. Jstest claims driver v2.1.0 if that means anything. Are both of these controllers just faulty? Is there some configuration I can tweak to get the y-axis on the analog stick to react properly to small moves? I have 2 of these controllers and they both act the same way. So I am on to something here, but I still cannot explain why the y-direction is not ramping in jstest, and thus, in-game. The Superpad 64/Makopad is actually a really good and sturdy N64 controller with an excellent ananlogue stick, the only downside is getting used to the slightly different button layout. Now that I removed that block, I am getting ramping in-game in the x-direction, and mupen64plus.cfg seems to now agree with InputAutoCfg.ini. Theres several different styles of Superpad for the N64 (at least three that I know of) and they vary in quality. I realized that another entry, Retrolink USB clone, had a conflicting name 'Generic USB joystick' which was overwriting all the configs into mupen64plus.cfg. So I went into /opt/retropie/configs/n64/InputAutoCfg.ini and changed the line to:įrom axis 0 as default in the appropriate DragonRise entry. There is no other axis responding to the analog stick in the y-direction. When using the analog stick, I get the same behavior as the D-pad on axes 0 and 1, and axis 2 ramps up and down in the x-direction. The D-Pad and the Analog stick map as the exact same buttons. I ran jstest /dev/input/js0, and I noticed axes 0 and 1 are working for the D-pad 0 -> +/-32767. Although it looks and feels like an N64 controller, the way it works is a complete load of garbage. The base config 'works' well enough in N64 games, but the problem I have is that the analog stick acts like a D-pad, in that there's no ramping up to full speed. I have a DragonRise Inc Generic USB joystick, N64 style, bought off ebay. ![]()

Players could have been asked to think about topics pertinent to current events in a new way-concepts like the validity of violent revolution as a means of political change the manner by which power perverts well-meaning ideologies, and much, much more. If Unity took a similar approach to Freedom Cry, it could have been an intellectually challenging game that bridged themes of the French Revolution with the modern world. The politics that mobilized the Parisian mobs, ousted a monarchy, and eventually lead to the Terror are pushed aside in favour of ancient conspiracies that have little or nothing to do with the actual human condition. Though set during the early years of the French Revolution-an extraordinarily rich period of history- Unity makes only occasional attempts to engage with its setting, preferring instead to focus on its Assassins vs. It (very cleverly) uses the gameplay mechanics that make Assassin’s Creed games fun to play to illustrate its story’s larger message: economically driven, culturally acceptable evils like slavery can’t be defeated just by killing those engaged in it in a single location.Ĭompare the intertwining of series mechanics and narrative purpose here to the squandered potential of the most recent Assassin’s Creed release: Unity. Despite the hours the player has invested in helping Haiti’s slaves, Freedom Cry subverts the sense of accomplishment that comes from “liberating” enemy-held areas by concluding without any significant progress having been made. The futility of trying to defeat an institution as immense and well-organized as slavery by killing overseers and plantation owners is illustrated in appropriately horrific fashion when the plot ends quite close to the same way it started. ![]() Understandably the problem lies with Sony refusing to display Dempsey in his Xbox-sponsored Seattle Sounders kit, instead opting for his USA colours. As you can see below, the title will be getting slightly different covers for its respective Xbox One and PS4 box arts. However, there is already some controversy brewing in regard to the game’s regional cover star and – more specifically – his kit.Ĭlint Dempsey has rightly been chosen as the face of FIFA 15, alongside Lionel Messi, in North America. Therefore, there are bound to be high hopes for the upcoming North American release of FIFA 15. Update: As mentioned above, the USA whipped up a frenzy back home with its deserved quarter final placing at this year’s World Cup. Will you be buying a copy of FIFA 15? Who would you like to see on the cover? Let us know via the comments section below. Additionally, player kits in FIFA 15 will grow dirtier as the match unfolds and slide tackles will leave marks on the pitch.ĮA claims that all this realism is made possible by FIFA 15 running on the EA Sports Ignite engine, the same technology that powered EA Sports UFC – a title praised for its stunning visuals. The game’s developer also added that those gamers that pre-order the title will be instantly upgraded to the Ultimate Edition and receive all of the digital bonuses that come with it.ĮA boasts that this year’s edition of its professional football game offers a “whole new level of visuals” with features like new character models and body rigging, visible breathing and hair movement. Perhaps Colombia’s James RodrÃguez (himself a winner of the Golden Boot at this year’s World Cup) or Mario Götze, scorer of the winning goal in the final?Īlas, it is probably Messi’s worldwide recognition that puts him above those two rising stars of the game.ĮA has stated that FIFA 15 will also have regional cover stars, though they have yet to be announced. However, judging by Argentina’s loss at the World Cup and the controversial decision to name Messi best player of the tournament – it would have arguably been more relevant to include a different player. Messi previously graced the cover of FiFA Street, FIFA 13 and FIFA 14. The football icon has had the most appearances on the football franchise’s cover and this is his fourth consecutive appearance on the box art. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the World Cup’s Golden Ball winner Lionel Messi will grace the cover art for the title. First to receive the game will be recent soccer advocates the US on 23 September, with Europe receiving the title on 25 September. That’s a slightly longer wait than the release date for other continents. The latest addition to the long-running football sim franchise will hit UK shelves on 26 September. ![]() ![]() Miss Hannigan realizes she's gone and chases after the truck. Later on, Bundles the laundry man comes in to pick up the blankets, allowing Annie to escape in his truck. To punish Annie's behavior, she forces all the girls to clean, and they lament the terrible conditions of the orphanage (" It's the Hard Knock Life"). Annie decides to escape to find her parents, but is caught by Miss Hannigan, the cruel keeper of the orphanage. When six-year-old Molly wakes up from a bad dream, Annie comforts her by singing about her own parents even though they abandoned her at the orphanage as a baby, she holds on to the hope that they will come back for her ("Maybe"). In 1933 in New York City, eleven-year-old Annie sleeps in an orphanage with several other girls her age. Meehan's book was accepted by Charnin and Strouse, but considerable material had to be trimmed out – material which Meehan would later restore for his novelization. Meehan saw the character of Annie as a 20th-century American female version of the titular orphan characters created by Charles Dickens in works such as Oliver Twist and David Copperfield, with the mystery of Annie's abandonment and unknown parenthood as consistent with a strand of mysteries in Dickens' tales. As Meehan, Charnin and Strouse were all from New York, and given what he saw as the downbeat mood of the then-current Nixon era and Vietnam War, Meehan set his story in New York during the similarly downbeat Great Depression. Meehan researched by rereading prints of the comic strip, but was unable to find any satisfactory material for a musical other than the characters of Annie, Oliver Warbucks, and Sandy, so he decided to write his own story.
